Special Session on Distributed Networking and Computing (DNC 2011)

Affiliated with,

Networking and Electronic Commerce Research Conference 2011 (NAEC 2011), Riva del Garda, Italy, October 13-16, 2011

Various distributed networking and computing technologies are becoming common to the people day by day. The terms like Cloud computing, Grid computing, Cluster computing, P2P, Parallel computing, are becoming more common. Moreover, the advancements of small smart device technologies like sensor technologies, RFID technologies, etc. have given some good flavor to the distributed networking and computing fields. As an example, the basic concept of cloud computing is paying based on the resource usages and the IT resources that do not exist on users’ side. This strategy makes the users capable of doing tasks with their resource-constrained computing devices that they could not have done before. To support such type of networking and computing, there are many research issues to consider so that the resources could be managed efficiently and securely. This special session is organized to deal with the issues of managing resources and devices in distributed networking and computing environments.

Information for authors

All the papers should be submitted via email to the chair at sakib.pathan@gmail.com (with a CC to mukaddim.pathan@csiro.au ) with the word "DNC11" in the subject line.

The regular papers will be reviewed by International Program Committee members. The best submissions will be selected for presentation and will be included in the conference proceedings. The papers should present original and unpublished research works. For more detailed information about formatting of papers, please take a look at the main conference website:

Other than the regular papers, there will be some invited presentations.

After the conference, suitable papers will be invited to special issue of some good quality journals. Please check the main website.
